The Milton Chamber is pleased to announce the appointment as Scott McCammon, CCE as its new Executive Director, effective July 18, 2016.
Most recently, Scott has consulted with Ryerson University and with local Chambers of Commerce, including acting as Vice-President of the Hamilton Chamber. Prior to that, Scott was the Vice-President & General Manager of the Ontario Chamber of Commerce and Executive Director of the Burlington Chamber of Commerce.
“We are very pleased to make this appointment,” stated Teresa Fujarczuk of Granite Ridge Golf Club and President of the Milton Chamber. “Scott has extensive experience in managing Chambers and will bring leadership and creativity to the Chamber’s operations and member services. We know he will be instrumental in building on the Milton Chamber’s strong foundation.”
Scott has also served on the Boards of the Ontario Chamber Executives Association (CEO), the Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives (ACCE) in Washington, and the Chamber of Commerce Executives of Canada (CCEC), where he also served as Board Chair. Scott has been named Manager of the Year by CCEC, recognized by CEO with a mentorship award, and is one of only three Canadians to have earned the Certified Chamber Executive (CCE) designation from ACCE.
“I’m looking forward to getting to know the members of the Chamber and providing them with great service,” said McCammon. “I have had the privilege of working with Sandy Martin through her tenure at the Milton Chamber. I look forward to continuing her work, executing the Board’s vision for the future, and ensuring Milton remains one of the best places to do business.”
