The Ontario Ministry of Labour, Immigration, Training and Skills Development is proposing a number of amendments to the ESA and they are seeking input on these proposed reforms.
For example:
- employers could be required to include the expected compensation or range of expected compensation for a position
- employers could be prohibited from including Canadian experience requirements in any publicly advertised job posting
- employers could be mandated to disclose if they are using AI to screen, assess or select applicants for a position
