Community and Business leaders gathered to celebrate the best of Milton at the 2015 Community Awards Gala. The event was held on April 8 at Granite Ridge Golf Club and began with a seafood buffet and cocktails followed by a delicious dinner. The awards ceremony was hosted by committee co-chairs Melissa DeBrouwer and Erin Rennie-Aubuchon of RBC. Video clips introduced the sponsors, each category and nominee. These pre-recorded pieces allowed nominees to answer questions which gave the audience a glimpse into their motivation and achievements.
Chamber President Teresa Fujarczuk presented the awards to each recipient. Recipients were given the opportunity to address the audience when presented with their awards. The comments ranged from personal thank yous to poignant stories of overcoming obstacles and inspirational stories of achieving success.
